Don't you hate it when a character you like is characterized a certain way that you think is wrong? But then, a lot of people characterize the character that way? It makes me wonder if I am seeing the character the wrong way and that maybe I am the wrong one.

I have two ideas for a story I have to write for my creative writing class. I am starting to think both might be overused plots though.
Both stories are ghost stories.
One story has a rebel/punk-like character who breaks into an old, burnt down house. He takes an item from that house and later on, a ghost from that house possessives his friend, who has almost an exact opposite personality from him yet both are still very close to each other, for taking the item.

But I am a coward and I would be scared to get up on stage and read my own work to people. I also have to write a poem on a topic I have never written about.
